Designed by Zuzana Licko in 1996, Mrs Eaves features a small x-height, loose spacing, and strokes that flare into its serifs. The design was based on printed samples of the Baskerville typeface, featuring less contrast between thick and thin strokes and a reduced x-height compared to other revivals. Mrs Eaves is named for Sarah Eaves, who was married to John Baskerville. It is popular in literary contexts, especially for short texts.
